Production Supervisor
Work Schedule: 11:00PM to 7:00AM
The Production Supervisor he ensures the smooth running of production activities. Responsible for planning, organizing and coordinating manufacturing and packaging activities Responsible for planning the use of resources for his shift, as well as the productivity of the team under his supervision.
Responsabilities:
- Supervise the work of employees assigned to manufacturing and packaging pharmaceutical products, by applying the concept of active supervision:
- Work in collaboration with other departments (purchase, QC, QA) to ensure that production documentation and materials are available
- Plan and assign the manufacturing and packaging work with instructions according to the production schedule
- Communicate the objectives
- Follow up on assignments and ensure staff availability for production schedules
- Revision and corrections to manufacturing and packaging files
- Quantify design variances
- Implement method changes
- Follow up on quality and health and security
- Ensure a presence for his team
- Manage the performance of employees under his supervision and do performance evaluations.
- Provide suggestions and solutions to optimize team performance (quality and productivity) and improve the safety of the tasks to be performed.
- Participate in the hiring processing, onboarding, training and evaluation of his employees
- Actively participate in packaging/manufacturing activities when necessary
- Track production performance indicators and ensure that established targets are met.
- Contact person for technical support to Manufacturing/Packaging.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) at all times for all activities under its supervision.
- Respect the health and safety instructions and report any situation that could compromise the safety of employees.
Skills and experience required:
- College diploma or the equivalence (DEP with relevant experience)
- Diploma in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technology (an asset)
Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience in the production (weighing, formulation) or in packaging in the pharmaceutical, food or cosmetic industry, including at least 2 years in a similar position
- Knowledge of Canadian Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) (Health Canada)
- Ability to develop positive working relationships with all employees
- Proven initiative and leadership skills
- Ability to plan and organize their work
- Good communication skills
- Bilingual (French and English)
