The Financial Controller oversees accounting and financial activities to ensure the accuracy of reports and compliance with internal policies. They are also responsible for the continuous improvement of accounting and administrative processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage the accounting team
- Oversee the company’s general accounting, including:
- Coordinating the budgeting process and monitoring financial forecasts
- Billing, accounts payable and receivable
- Payroll and benefits administration
- Inventory and cash flow management
- Government remittances and tax compliance
- Month-end and year-end closings
- Monitoring and improving internal controls
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and present results to management and external auditors
- Analyze cost prices and ensure cost control
- Support the preparation of documents required for financing or equipment acquisition
- Manage business insurance files and related administrative contracts
- Improve the efficiency and reliability of accounting and financial processes
- Interact with clients and suppliers regarding accounts payable and receivable
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of five years of accounting experience
- Experience in team management
- Professional proficiency in French and English
- Asset: Member in good standing of the Quebec CPA Order
