Director of Product Development

As the Director of Product Development, you will be responsible for developing the pharmaceutical products of tomorrow. Leading a team of technical and scientific subject matter experts, you will work directly with our clients located throughout the world. Your team will take projects from initial lab experiments all the way through commercial production, bringing new treatments to patients. In this role, you will also be an active contributor to business development and work to improve operational performance through innovation.                                                                                   

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the performance of the team
  • Ensure the professional, technical, and scientific development of the team to meet future industry needs
  • Act as a leader by implementing a culture of continuous improvement and positively managing change
  • Implement innovative practices and services to better serve our clients
  • Ensure adherence to committed timelines and performance targets
  • Analyze the performance of the departments and develop & implement strategies that improve efficiency while maintaining the quality of the work
  • Financial management related to Product Development activities, including review of proposals for new projects
  • Work in cooperation with the Production Department to ensure that project deadlines are met when new drug products are introduced
  • Ensure the implementation of and compliance of Health & Safety and Environment rules
  • Ensure compliance with GMP quality standards in all activities under their responsibility

Skills and experience required:

  • Minimum of 10 years experience in pharmaceutical industry, ideally in drug development
  • B.Sc. in a field relevant to pharmaceutical development and manufacturing
  • At least 5 years experience in managing multidisciplinary teams
  • In-depth knowledge of product development
  • Demonstrated experience in achieving financial goals
  • Full proficiency in French and English
  • Good knowledge of US pharmaceutical regulations (FDA)
